It kind of hit me that in uni, we never really have classmates -- people who will be in all lessons with you all day, 5 days a week.
This ag system is making us complacent and giving us this false idea that we wouldn't be alone in class.
Fact is, one day we'll all part, because we're all unique individuals with different preferences. We imagine our uni differently, and we will plan it from there. Never because we want to be with our ag mates.
Now that we're in year two sem 1, we try hard to bid for same mods, ballot for same tutorials, sit tgt in lectures. But recently, talked to a couple of peers who told me the same thing, "We'll all split eventually." Which is true.
Let year one be the awesome year. At least 1/4 of my uni life, I weren't lonely.
I've planned ahead already. I know what I want to do next sem, and I'm all prepared to be alone for at least half of my mods. Not that I can't get used to it, just that I'll be looking forward to school for other reasons than friends soon.
A friend of mine always ask me the same qns, "do you think you will find true friendship in uni?"
